To extract DTCs from the computer for diagnostic purposes, the Self Test connector is used.
- Turn ignition key off
- Connect a jumper wire from Self Test Input (STI) to pin 2, Signal Return on the Self Test connector. Refer to diagram below.
- Set analog voltmeter on a DC voltage range to read from 0 volts to 15 volts DC. Connect VOM from battery (+) to pin 4 Self Test Output (STO) in the Self Test connector.
