RELATIVE HUMIDITY

Definition: The actual moisture content of the air in relation to the total amount of moisture the air can hold at a given time. If air contains three-quarters of the maximum moisture content it could possibly hold at a given temperature, the relative humidity is said to be 75 percent. Warm air is capable of holding more moisture than cold air. Humidity affects the cooling performance of the A/C system and the engine's octane requirements.
