Ford Contour Speaker Cover Q. I have a 1999 Ford Contour SE and one of the door panel speakers has blown out. I looked (and even pried a little) at what looks to be the cover of the speaker, but it doesn't come off. I was wondering if you could tell me whether I need to take the whole door panel off or if there is a secret to removing the speaker panel itself?

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

A. The speaker covers are part of the door panel. They can not be removed separately.

A little tip when you remove the door panel. After you remove all the screws and fasteners, lift the door panel up and then pull it off. If you just pull it off, you will damage the door panel and you will have to replace it.
