Oldsmobile Tire Problems

Q. My wife's 2001 Oldsmobile has developed a problem with the steering after changing front tires only. The car is very hard to handle now especially on asphalt roads where the grooves of the road are quiet evident. We took the car back to the tire shop where it was originally aligned and they could not find any problems.

I asked them if the back tires, which have not been changed, could be causing the problem. Their response was no. Can you help?

Frank

A. Have them put the new tires on the rear and see if problem goes away. Maybe those tires aren't compatible to your driving style. Did they put same size on? Same brand? Maybe they are more "sensitive" because they are new? Last thought, their alignment machine could be out of calibration.
