Camry Lock Actuator
Q. My 1999 Toyota Camry XLE (68,000 miles) driver door lock isn't working. My Toyota dealer says it needs an actuator and will order and install it for a little over $200. I'd rather get one from a junked Camry and do it myself. I would bet there are several model years that used the same part.
Any ideas where I could get one?

A. If you go to a junk yard and tell them what you need they have interchange books that tell them what part is used on what cars. That actuator may be used on not only many model year Camry's, but other Toyota models.
