To Leak Or Not To Leak?

Q. I have a 1993 Honda Accord. There is a small leak at the top of the radiator. Someone suggested trying radiator stop leak before replacing the radiator. Is this a good idea?

Thanks for any help,
Richard

A. Well you could try some stop leak and see if it'll work. Personally I would recommend pulling the radiator out and have it repaired. With the stop leak you run the risk of clogging up the radiator and heater core; and once that happens, you're into big bucks repairing that damage.

The radiator is not that hard to take out and most shops can repair them in the same day.
