Oldsmobile Alero Blower Motor Died

Q. Hey, I have a question about a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero. It has a 4-cylinder engine with automatic transmission and about 120,000 miles. The blower fan for the A/C and heater has quit working. I took out my glove box to look at it and I can't figure out how to replace the thing. Can you help me?

Thanks,
Hattin

A. The blower motor should be held in by two or three screws. If you look up from below glove box, you should see them. There is also a blower motor resistor that is known to go bad. It's in front of the blower motor. There will be burn marks on the resistor if it's bad.
