Yellow Headlight Lenses

Q. I have a 1994 Mazda 626 LX and my headlight lenses are yellow and have condensation in them. I was wondering if it is possible to clean them without having to buy new fixtures. Also how do I do it?

Thanks,
Maurice

Yellow Headlight Lenses

A. I wish there were a way to fix them, a lot of money could be saved by a lot of people. Unfortunately the only thing you can do is replace them.

I just finished using rubbing compound on the headlight lenses of my 1991 Subaru, and they are almost as clear and bright as new. I first used a red (coarse) compound followed by a white (fine) one, then finished it off with Armor All. Beautiful! Clear! BRIGHT! And I saved 300 bucks, too!

Regards,
Jim
