Mercedes Benz SLK Spark Plugs Q. Hi Vincent, can you please help me? I have a Mercedes Benz SLK Kompressor 2000 cc engine. I need to change the spark plugs; they have some type of electronic item on top of each plug. Any idea how to change them? They use ordinary champion plugs. Thank you, Fab

A. Those electronic items are the ignition coils. Remove the small bolts holding them down and pull them straight up to remove them.

And they do not take "ordinary" Champion spark plugs. I highly recommend Bosch F 7 KTCR spark plugs in that car.
