Ford Mondeo Hatch Supports Q. Hi Vincent, I am having problems keeping my Ford Mondeo rear boot/hatch to stay open, I need to prop it up to stop it from slamming shut. Are the rear gas struts adjustable or is possible for both of them to be faulty? This seemed to develop overnight. I would be grateful if you could advise. Many Thanks, Rob

A. There is no adjustment on those supports Rob. All you can do is replace them, which is not too difficult to do. And yes, chances are they are both bad since most times one is enough to hold up the hatch.
