Pontiac Grand Am A/C Warm At Idle

Q. Hello, I just purchased a 1992 Pontiac Grand Am SE for a second car. The air conditioner works great driving down the road, but when you stop it does not blow cold air at all, it is warm air. Can you tell me what I need to do?

A. You need to make sure there is good air flow through the condensor. This is in front of the radiator. Make sure no bags or stuff are blocking it. Then make sure that the electric cooling fan is working properly. There needs to be air movong across the condensor all times for it to cool properly.
