Chevrolet pick-up ½ ton Pick-up Weight

Q. Vincent, I wrote you some time last year about a 2001 Grand Cherokee that we had that was involved in a wreck and later caught fire. The vehicle that hit us was a 1990 Chevrolet pick-up ½ ton, 2WD. The Insurance Company has yet to settle our claim. I have looked everywhere but I can’t find the vehicle weight of the 1990 Chevrolet truck.

Chevrolet pick-up ½ ton Pick-up Weight

Do you know anywhere that I can find the exact weight of the vehicle? I can find the weight of the Cherokee easy but for some reason cannot find the weight of the 1990 Chevrolet ½, 2WD pick-up.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

A. The Gross Vehicle Weight of a 1990 Chevy ½ ton pickup is between 5,001 and 6,000 pounds.

My friend Dan Baldyga has some good tips on settling your claim in The Insurance Corner that you may find helpful.
