Honda Civic Leaking Inside Car

Q. I have a 1997 Honda Civic sedan that has a leak somewhere under the dash. It dripped down under the carpet and got it all wet, which was when I noticed. How can I fix it?

Honda Civic Leaking Inside Car

A. Before I can tell you how to fix it, we have to determine if the liquid is; water or anti-freeze. If it is anti-freeze then it is probably coming from the heater hoses or heater core.

If it's plain water, then it might be because the A/C drain hose is blocked and the water is overflowing into the car. In this case simply clearing the hose will fix it.

If it is a body seal or windshield seal leak, it will be harder to find and more costly to repair.
