Ford Explorer Blower Motor Switch
Q. Hello, 1993 Ford Explorer my blower switch stop working, air conditioning still kicks in. I have put a new blower fan, and heater resistor. It seems to have power to all of the parts and the fuses have power too. It seems when we hot wire the fan, the blower works. we are down to a new blower switch or we have lost the ground somewhere. we are not sure what to do next.
Thanks for your time...
A. You will have to pop out the heater control panel and, using the wiring diagram below, check for power at the heater control panel connector.
If you ground the orange/black wire at the heater control panel connector and the blower motor runs, then everything is good and it's a very good probability the blower motor switch is bad. If not, the orange/black wire is open between the blower motor and the blower motor switch.
