Ford Ranger Spark Plugs

Q. Here is my problem I need some one to kind of walk me through how I can change my spark plugs. I know how its more removing the manifold that is covering them. Any help would be nice

Ford Ranger Spark Plugs

A. Piece of cake, here is the procedure direct from Ford:

REMOVAL

  1. Remove spark plug wires from spark plugs with a Spark Plug Wire Remover tool, pull outward on the boot with a slight side-to-side twist.
  2. Loosen spark plugs and remove any dirt or foreign material from spark plug areas of cylinder head with compressed air.
  3. Remove spark plugs.

INSTALLATION

  1. Inspect and adjust spark plugs.

    • Spark Plug Gap: 0.042" to 0.046".

  2. Install spark plugs.
  3. Tighten spark plugs to 9-20 N.m (7-15 lb in).
  4. Connect spark plug wires to spark plugs.
