No More Idle iPods!
The point of all this is that we want to use our iPods in the car. New car models are often equipped with an iPod port, so you guys needn't worry. I've tried every FM tuner adapter I could find, and they were all pretty bad. In New York City, where I spend about half my time, the radio dial is so packed with stations that it's near impossible to find one to send iPod signals through. If your ride is old school enough to have a tape deck you can use the old cassette adapter, but while they are convenient the sound quality can be iffy.
It's time to stop playing games. You need an iPod port, and the only way to get one is to install a new car stereo. Replacing your old stereo with a new iPod ready unit isn't a tough job at all. With the wealth of car-specific information and wiring adapter kits, you can have a new stereo in no time. Go ahead and get with the program.

I wish people would just say mp3 instead of ipod. There are tons of car stereos on the market with mp3 inputs.
I agree. People support the monopolizing brand names create. They started putting input jacks in car stereos way before ipods were created.
