Repair Shop Reviews
I was fraudulently charged $70 for the removal of a cv halfshaft to access the alternator. Two years when I had to re-replace the alternator myself, I did the work myself, and never had to touch the halfshaft. Also, I replaced the halfshaft shortly after. Based on the rust-weld, it appeared as though the shaft had never been touched since the car was built 10 years earlier. The brake job was horrible. It failed almost immediately. Two weeks later, I took my car to a Honda dealer, and they read a list of repair goofs including both rear cylinders leaking, misadjusted & broken parking brake.
I took my car to Pep Boys for a new alternator, and a brake job.
As far as machine shops go, they are the best. They will go as far as not perform unnecessary repairs that you asked for out of ignorance or not being sure of whether it was truly necessary.
