Defect Summary:
1993-1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. If a driver has not placed the shifter lever fully into the "park" position and leaves the vehicle running, the vehicle may unexpectedly move rearward after seeming to be stable.Consequence Summary: Sorry, consequence summary is not available. For more information contact your local dealer.Corrective Summary: Dealers will install a secondary detent system to the floor shifter assembly. Daimler-Chrsyler has not yet provided the agency with a notification schedule.
