THERMOSTATIC SWITCH

Definition: A component (sometimes adjustable) used in a cycling clutch A/C system to engage and disengage the compressor clutch. It prevents water (condensate) from freezing on the evaporator core. It also controls the temperature of air flowing out of the evaporator fins.
