Ford Mustang DTC P1413 Q. Hi Mr. Vincent Ciulla, I own a 1999 Ford Mustang. Last week my Check Engine Soon light came on, and I used the scanner it read code P1413 which is a secondary air injection monitor circuit low input. Can you tell me how to fix this problem? A. It is most likely either a hose or line that fell off, broke or is kinked, or a bad A.I.R. pump. What you can do is unplug the A.I.R. pump connector. Ground the black wire and, with a 30 amp fused jumper wire, apply battery voltage to the white wire.

If the pump runs, then chances are the pump is good and the problem is with a hose. If not, then the A.I.R. pump will need to be replaced.
