Mitsubishi Eclipse Block Drain

Q. I am trying to change the coolant in my 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS 2.4 liter and I cannot find the engine block plug so I can drain all the additional fluid out of the engine. The radiator plug was easy to find but I don’t know what type of bolt to look for or where to begin. I know it has one because I own a Hayes manual.

Mitsubishi Eclipse Block Drain

The drawing is very sketchy in the manual. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking about calling Mitsubishi and asking if they can tell me.

Thank you,
Mark

A. The drain is on the right hand side of the engine, between the engine and firewall. Just about dead center, under the intake manifold.
