Pontiac Grand Am Body Control Module

Q. Hi Vincent, I have a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am and while recently installing a radio, two wires must have touched and shorted out the Body Control Module (BCM). The Alarm ding keeps going like there's a key in the ignition and the yellow wire to the radio no longer gets power. Also, the ABS light comes on while the car's running. My question is, where is the BCM located? All the other info follows.

  • 3300 V-6 MPFI
  • Automatic transmission
  • 161,000 miles

Thanks for any information!
Mike

A. I don't think this car is that smart, meaning you don't have a BCM. Did you check all fuses? Re-check how you wired the radio to make sure it's right? I think you'll find a fuse blown somewhere. If not, you'll need a schematic to trace it out.
