Dodge Ram Bouncing

Q. We own a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500, 5.2 liter, automatic transmission, 102,000 Miles, 4x2, Fuel Injection, rack and pinion steering. When we hit a bump in the road the vehicle begins to shake and vibrate and feels like we have two flat front tires. The only way to bring the vehicle under control is to come to almost a complete stop. It just started this and does not do it all the time.

Any ideas on why this is happening???

Thanks...

A. The most likely culprit here are the shocks. If they are worn out, they will cause the symptoms you describe. Another possibility is the stabilizer bar bushings where they attach to the frame, or the links that connect the stabilizer bar to the lower control arm.
