Honda Civic Si Power Up Q. Hi, I have a turbocharged 1999 Honda Civic Si and I would like to get some head work done but I do not want to raise my compression ratio if I can get by without having to. I would like to get some porting and polishing done. What would you recomend? My engine is built well.

I have SRP pistons, crower rods, low compression stainless valves, titanium valve springs with retainers, turbo cams, and a 9.1 C/R metal head gasket with arp head fastners. Here are my specs:

4 Cylinder 1595 cc
16 Valve
manual transmission
40,000 miles
Fuel Injection
ABS brakes

A. Porting and polishing won't really raise compression. The only way to do that is to mill the head and maybe replacing the pistons with HP pistons.

Are you sure it's a 1999? I haven't seen a Honda Civic Si before 2000 and none of them are turbocharged.
