Chevy Monte Carlo A/C Recharging Q. I have a 1996 Chevy Monte Carlo with a 3.1 liter V-6 engine. My question is I want to charge my A/C. How can I determine which is the low and high side? One line is on top and the other is slightly below it on an angle.they both have caps but they are both black and not marked with a H or L. Thank you...

A. This is how people get hurt! Be very, very careful! The High side lines come out of the compressor and goes to the condensor. The Low side lines are out of the evaporator and go to the compressor. The A/C compressor should be marked H or D and L or S. Highly suggest you get this serviced by a A/C tech!!
