Pontiac Trans Am Low Coolant Light On

Q. My low coolant light has been coming on for the last few weeks, but there is plenty of coolant in the radiator and overflow bottle. I thought maybe the thermostat was sticking, so I replaced it, but it still comes on. There is no overheating. Could the sensor be going bad? Am I going to mess my car up even though nothing seems to be different?

In fact the engine is running cooler with the new thermostat. HELP!

A. The sensor for low coolant may be in the radiator or the coolant jar/reservoir. There may be a problem with the sensor or it's wiring. There could also be an air pocket around the sensor.
