Chevy S-10 Blazer Wiring
Q. I have a 1996 Chevy S-10 Blazer 4.3 liter engine A/C, ABS and 4x4. I replaced the heater core and I took out the instrument cluster when I reassembled it everything works but the speedometer and the odometer. The speedometer is analog and the odometer is the old rolling style. The tachometer works fine, which is where the odometer is under.
Can you help me with wire prints or the color of wires for these components so I can see if I pinched them? I can't find any books on the electrical schematics of the instrument cluster. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Dave,
Detroit MichiganA. You may want to pull the cluster out and look at the plug. It's possible that you have the cluster in there cocked and not seated on the plug right. The speedometer looks analog but it does run by a wire from the PCM.
As for the wiring diagram, it's six pages and not something I can easily post here. But If you go to the main branch of your local public library, they will have complete wiring diagrams in the reference section or can print them out of their database.
