Questions and Answers

Too Much Anti-freeze?

Q. Hello: I don't know if you answer questions as this is my first time on your site. My question is very simple: I recently had a coolant flush and fill in a 1999 Ford Taurus. The mechanic filled the bottle (the cap is on the overflow bottle) past the full cold range, that is, the level when cold is about 2 inches above the top line marker.

Is that OK or should I remove some coolant to bring it down into range?

Thank you in advance!

A. Not a problem. It's better to have a little too much than too little.
