Chevy Monte Carlo A/C Blows Warm

Q. The problem I am having is I got my A/C Charged last summer. It blew very cold. The place were I took it said there was no leaks, it was fine and just needed charged. It blew cold all last summer. I really don't use it to often, only when I go on the highway. This summer I used it a few times and it worked fine. This past weekend I tried using it and it did not blow cold. Is there anything I could check that could be the problem?

A. There are two things that need to be checked. First is for pressure in the system. If too low, below 40 psi, the compressor won't come on as a precaution so the compressor won't starve for oil. If there is pressure in the system, then a check of the compressor controls needs to be looked at.

This would include the control head, PCM, and wires from the control head and all the switches in the system. A/C systems don't "just need a re-charge"! If they need a charge there is a leak! Have someone add ultra violet dye to your system to see if a leak can be found.
