Chevy Silverado Automatic Headlights Q. Hi, Just bought a 2004 Chevy Silverado with a 4.8 liter engine. Hate those darn Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and Automatic Headlights. Can you tell me how to permanently disable both of them so that I can get manual use of them? Please help or otherwise I will get rid of this truck. That is how much I hate them. Jim

A. Have you asked the Dealer? It is illegal to disable these in some locations. Maybe if you went to the Library and got a service manual with a wiring diagram you could figure it out.
