Bunch Of Pontiac Grand Prix Questions

Q. I have asked many of my uncles, who are mechanics about my car, but all they can do is say get it looked at. Right now my car does a handle full of different things. When I take a turn with my car on the left front side I can hear a kind of grinding noise, but I just had the brake's replaced a month ago.

Next is that my power steering fluid is going somewhere and I don't know where. The steering seems so tight and most of the time I can hear a kind of struggle from the steering wheel when I make a turn.

Also my front end has begun to shake when I'm driving. To me it seems to get better as I go faster, but maybe I'm wrong. I think I had this problem a few years ago and it was the ball joint.

Continuing, I am losing gas and I have no idea where. I know it's burning due to the fact I can smell it once I shut the car off and go to the engine, but have been unable to trace a source due to no puddle.

Lastly is when my Uncle's took a look at my car they noticed that it starts fine, but after a few seconds it would start to skip and it was revving to high. They did show me a small part on the car and said that the voltage of this part set the rev and to get it checked of something of that nature.

I know this is a lot and you can't tell really anything with the car here, but I'm at my ends here. No one can tell me what's wrong and I don't want to spend a fortune to fix it. Anything you can tell me be highly appreciated.

A. Here you go!

1. Possible bad hub bearing? The part that the wheel bolts to. It will growl & sound will change when turning from right to left at higher speeds.

2. The power steering fluid leak should be seen somewhere. Pump seal? Maybe inside the boots on the steering rack. This would indicate that you need a new power steering rack.

3. Shimmy. Could be ball joints, tie rods, steering rack, bad tires or a bent rim?

4. Fuel smell? Look at the pressure regulator under the hood. I've seen these leak a lot.
