Ford Explorer Radio Light Fades Q. Dear Sir, I have a 2000 Ford Explorer Limited. It has a factory install AM/FM Cassette, CD and a 6 disc changer. The problem is that the illuminated part of the radio fades off. It just goes dark. When I tap where it should be illuminated, it slowly comes back (fades in), stays lit for a very short while then fades back off. Help! Liz

A. There's not much you can do Liz. The problem is internal and will have to be removed and repaired. Your dealer may have exchange units available. Check your warranty book to see what the warranty on audio components is.
