Ford Starter Solenoid

Q. I have a 1992 Ford Crown Victoria 4.3 liter V-8. When trying to start you hear a clicking sound but will not start. Could this be the solenoid on the starter or a voltage regulator problem.

Billy

A. It could be due to a bad starter solenoid or a weak battery. Try charging the battery or jump starting it and see if it starts. If it still just clicks after the batter is charged or whil jump starting, it's a good bet it's a bad solenoid.
