Ford DA LTD Cruise Control
Q. 1991 Ford DA LTD. 3.9 liter, automatic transmission, 144,000 kilometers, P/S, A/C, and cruise control. The cruise control and horn failed at the same time and I suspect a fuse or relay but the service book does not identify the horn fuse/relay or the cruise control fuse/relay.
Can you give me an idea of whether to suspect a fuse/relay and where can I locate it or do you think it is another problem?
Thank you,
StanA. The horn and cruise control use two different fuses. It is fed power through fuse 1 and 6. The horn gets its power from fuse 16. The only thing they have in common is they both go through the Steering Wheel Control Switch and the steering wheel slip ring. In any case the problem is in the steering wheel. Most likely the Steering Wheel Control Switch itself.
