Volkswagen Jetta Oil In Air Filter
Q. Hi, I have a 1995 Volkswagen Jetta with 92,000 miles a manual transmission. I have had the car a little while now and when I got it, I had a Check Engine Light on and it came and went. I recently went to replace my air filter and noticed that I had oil in my intake. I replaced my PCV valve hoping it would help. It did for a while but it's doing it again. It's almost like the oil has to build up in the intake to cause trouble. Can you help me out?
Thanks,
KyleA. There was a TSB on this problem, number: 99-04. The repair involves modifying the PCV and air intake system. So this is one you should let the dealer take care of.
