Dodge Grand Caravan Missing
Q. I had a new fuel filter and a crank sensor put on in Dec. My van ran great. Then I had my oil changed at Firestone, and things check for a cheerleader trip to Knoxville TN. The van did great. The day after I got back, it started missing out, and sometimes backfiring! I had a free test done on it at Auto Zone, and they said it was a EGR leak. but my brother does not think so!
I was so wanting to take my kids somewhere close for a day or two on spring break, since I could not afford Fla. like most, but with the van acting this way, I can not feel comfortable with taking the kids and getting stranded!

BeckyA. I wish I knew what the DTC was. That would have been very helpful in making a reasonable diagnosis.
It could be a bad EGR valve or EGR electrical circuit problem. It could also be something as simple as needing a complete tune-up with a new distributor cap, distributor rotor and ignition wires.
