Mazda 323 Power Door Locks

Q. I have a 1984 Mazda 323 and recently the car door lock on the driver side has begun to malfunction. In fact it does not work at all. I want to know if there is a way that I could repair the lock myself? Otherwise how much expense should I be looking at if I get a auto-technician to fix it?

Thanks for your suggestions,
Parminder

Mazda 323 Power Door Locks

A. It isn't too difficult to replace. Once you have the inner door panel off you will see the actuator and how it mounts.

If you decide to take it in, it is about an hour labor and the cost of the actuator, which I don't have at this moment.
