BMW 318 Outside Door Latch Q. Vincent, I have a 1994 BMW 318 2-door with a problem on the driver's side door. The inside latch doesn't seem to be working, the outside latch works for the most part but sticks occasionally. I have removed the door panel and tried to get a good look at what could be causing it, but because of the angle into the door itself, its tough. Any suggestions? Sincerely, Jeremy

A. I wish I had some sage words of wisdom for you, but the fact is I don't. It's a pain no matter how you do it.

There is a cover plate that requires a special tool to remove. I've had some luck removing it by prying it wit a screwdriver. Other than that, it's whatever works getting to the linkage. Small hands really help.
