Jeep Cherokee Speedometer In-op
Q. 1995 Jeep Cherokee. My fuel gauge, my speedometer and my odometer. Are they all tied into one fuse or one cable? They became immobilized all at once recently; however, when the fuel gauge works, once in a great while, after a good bump, so will the speedometer and odometer. I've tried going over a speed bump to see if that would loosen the gas gauge but no luck.
I've checked fuses that might be appropriate but no luck. I tried jiggling the ignition with my key but no luck. So my question is, where should I look for a solution? Or am I out of luck?
Arthur
A. The only thing the fuel gauge and speedometer have in common is the connection in the back of the instrument cluster. Since it appears that all the other gauges and indicators work, i would have to say the problem is most likely a bad Instrument Panel Circuit Board in the instrument cluster itself.
