PCV Valve Radio Interference

Q. To Vincent, I have a 1992 Ford Crown Victoria. Mileage is at 144,500. This is a Police Cruiser. Currently when the vehicle is running, I can hear the PCV valve through the vehicles radio and through my police radio and radar. Can you please e-mail me with any ideas on what I need to repair or replace.

PCV Valve Radio Interference

A. I have never, ever heard of a PCV valve causing radio interference. There is nothing electrical in a PCV valve. What I would suggest is to go to Radio Shack and get a static supressor for your alternator. That is the most likely cause of the interference.
