Honda Civic EX Performance Air Intake Q. I recently took my car to an auto shop that my friend owns. We installed Edelbrock headers and a Cool air intake and NOS and I also wanted to install the air intake system and manifold. After my mechanic friend got off the phone with parts dealers inquiring about prices they told him they didn't recommend adding an air intake system in my 2000 Honda Civic EX coupe because of too many problems and bugs.

So we decided against it, for now. I was wondering if this was true or did we just got some bad information for not to bright dealers?

A. I don't have any experience with modifying vehicles beyond what the factory supplies. I do know that K&N makes an air intake system for your car. How good it is I don't know, but they do have one. It is part number 69-1009TB.
