Chevy C1500 Two Bad Transmissions?? Q. I have an 1992 Chevy C1500 Pickup. It has a 700R4 transmission in it. It wouldn't shift out of SECOND gear so I had someone put a rebuilt transmission in it, drove it about 40 miles and it happened again, it will not shift out of SECOND gear again. What do I do? Teresa

A. Have a good technician look at the transmission problem. It may turn out that there was nothing wrong with it. Does the speedometer work? It could be bad speed sensor or possibly the governor inside the transmission.
