Chevy K-5 Blazer Won't Restart Hot

Q. Hello, The vehicle is a 1985 Chevy K-5 Blazer 4x4 with a 305 engine, 230,000 kilometers, carburetted and a manual transmission. The vehicle has power steering but no A/C. The problem is that the engine will stall after running/driving for anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes and then not restart.

Chevy K-5 Blazer Won't Restart Hot

The engine continues to crank, eventually becomes "flooded" but will not start. After letting it sit for 30 minutes or so it will start again. I have been told that it could be the Ignition Control Module inside the distributor? What are your thoughts

A. Since it's flooding, I guess it's getting fuel. I would look at all components inside the distributor. With that many miles, I would probably replace the complete distributor. The module is suspect as is the pick-up coil, the housing and the shaft itself.
