Chevy G20 Oil Pressure Problem
Q. I was driving down the interstate when I noticed my oil pressure gage showed "0" pressure. I stopped, checked, and could find no evidence of oil loss; the drain plug was in place, and no drops of oil. I checked the oil level and it was full. I continued to drive where I was going without incident, and the temperature gage registered normal.
I checked my Haynes manual, but couldn't find anything about the gage or sending unit, except for a picture on one page of the sending unit. The problem must be in the gauge or sending unit somewhere, as everything else works normally.

Thanks for any advice you may have.
RonA. Well, if it's not knocking, it must have oil pressure right? There should be a sending unit next to the distributor. It should have a single wire on it. If you unplug this wire and ground it with the key on. The gauge should do something. If not replace the sender. This is the most probable solution. I would want to screw a mechanical gauge in the sender hole first to make sure that the pressure is really okay.
