Jeep Engine Swap
Q. I have and '86 CJ-7. It currently has a T-5 Transmission. It now has a I-6 258, my new engine will be a Ford 300 I-6 4.9L. I believe this will fit with my transmission. Is there any way to tell for sure? Anyone you can contact? I can contact? I can't seem to have anyone tell me positively weather I can do it.

JasonA. I'll be perfectly honest with you Jason, I have no idea if that engine and transmission will bolt up or not.
All I can suggest is going to J-Journal and they may be able to help you. If not, they have an extensive message board dedicated to Jeeps of all years. You can post your question there and I'm sure someone will be able to help you.
