Silverado ABS Brake Light

Q. I have a Chevrolet Silverado, 4.6 V-6, short bed, auto transmission, 2WD, 22,000 miles. My question is: The ABS light comes on when I was driving, then when I turn off the engine, there is a noise under the cabin. When I check it, I saw a piece with multiple brake lines running like a motor. To stop it from running I disconnect it, now I have a light of ABS and a light of brake. What can I do? It is a ABS relay or something else which is not working good?

Thank you for your help.
Gladys

A. There is a module under there that is shorted internally. It needs to be replaced, should be under warranty. Leave it unplugged for now. It just means you won't have ABS but the base brakes will work normally.
