Ford Taurus Puking P/Steering Fluid

Q. I am a mechanic working on a 1999 Ford Taurus. It has a problem leaking power steering fluid. So far I have replaced the rack and pinion and power steering pump. Yet the power steering fluid still leaks out through the top of the pump. It leaks only when the car is shut off, and the leak starts as soon as the motor is shut off. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Vinny

A. If you replaced the power steering pump and rack assembly, you replaced most of the power steering system. At this point the problem is probably a collapsed power steering line. There is a power steering fluid cooler under the sub-frame that may be clogged or damages also.
