Toyota Camry No Start
Q. My 1996 Toyota Camry won't start at all. I tested the battery, the starter, the solenoid, and they are all fine. I'm getting power to the starter, but nothing happens when I turn the key, except interior power like windows, etc. I think it is electrical but don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
BrianA. If you have power at the small black/red wire at the starter when you move the key into the Start position, then you have a bad starter.
If you do not have power there in the Start position, then the problem is in the Neutral Safety Switch (NSS) if it is an automatic transmission, Clutch Interlock Switch (CIS) if it is a manual transmission or the ignition switch.
