Ford Ranger Air Bag Code 25 Q. 1998 Ford Ranger 4 cylinder 59,000 miles. Just out of warrenty, isn't that always the case. Anyway. Problem just started this AM. Turn the key on, all idiot come on as normal. The air bag light then blinks 2 times followed 5 blinks. The sequence is repeated for a few minutes. It then comes on solid. A. This is fault code 25. "Light Flash Code (LFC) 25 DTC B1871 - Pass Air Bag Deactivation (PAD) Switch Fault". This usually indicates a bad PAD switch.
