Ford Explorer Alarm Problem Q. Hi, We have a 1991 Ford Explorer. The alarm went off for no reason and could not be turned off. Could not turn off with interior switch, either. After a few minutes the alarm will go off but every time you try to open door the alarm goes off. Had to disconnect battery.

Any info would be very appreciated as to how to fix this problem. Even if we totally have to disconnect alarm which we are not sure how to do either.

A. It is possible one of the door switches is bad and causing the alarm to go off. So I would check them first. If they are okay then I would let Ford have a go at it. I'm not sure that disabling the alarm is an option.
